Local 3598 is involved in the Honor Guard to assist the Gurnee Fire Department both within the AFFI – Associated Firefighter of Illinois – as well as the IAFF – International Association of Firefighters. The Honor Guard exists to Provide, as a line of duty death benefit, dignified, honorable services for fallen firefighters, their surviving family members, and brothers and sisters in the fire service through organization of and participation in funeral and memorial services.
